Hello. I'm John Warren. I was introduced to a large, successful Christian School in Illinois in 2013. The school was facing foreclosure, and they had an agreement that would transfer title of their beautiful campus to the bank in just a few months. Through a series of negotiations and much prayer, the bank agreed to forebear for a year. During that year, replacement financing was acquired, and the bank agreed to a substantial discount to make the transaction work. The school is now debt-free, and it continues to accomplish its mission of providing a distinctly Christian education to families in its community and beyond.
This story has been told many times across the U.S. When associations of Christian Schools heard this story, they began referring other schools to CFS Financial. CFS is the company I formed after realizing the significant need for debt negotiation, funding new real estate projects, and consulting on strategic and board governance matters. The rest of the story is one of God's faithfulness in providing solutions for many Christian Schools and other ministries throughout the U.S.
